Hi Mike, As you can see, I am still stupid about photos.

Pregunta del cliente

Hi Mike,
As you can see, I am still "stupid" about photos. I thought I had lost some, but now I see they are still on my "desktop" preferences/iPhoto. Is there a way to get them back?

Some photos in your iPhoto library may not be accessible from the Desktop tab of the "Desktop & Screen Saver" pane of System Preferences if you have deselected the option to "Copy files to iPhoto Library folder when adding to library" in iPhoto preferences.

The "Change Picture" duration option at the bottom of the Desktop tab may not be available with some iPhoto albums.

Solution

To work around this issue, export the photos you want to use from iPhoto to a folder in your Pictures folder. Select this folder using the "Choose folder..." option in the Desktop tab of the Desktop & Screen Saver system preference pane.

Perhaps I was not clear. Your description is the opposite of my problem. The photos in question I cannot find any where except in when i clickApple/ System preferences/Desktop & Screensaver/ Desktop/iPhoto. I was surprised to find the missing photos there because I had thought them lost since I could not find them anywhere else. Is there a way to restore them or copy then back to my iPhoto Library?

Perhaps you need to know I refer to a Mac OS X, version 10.6.8

Hi Cliente,

In the Finder, go into your hard drive and follow the path Users / your name / picture and when you see the icon in iPhoto, select it with the right mouse button and choose "Show Package Contents".

I had already tried to do what you suggest, as well as everything else I could think of. The photos I would like to restore TO iPHOTO are ONLY in the desktop option I mentioned above. When I click on them, they appear as my desktop picture, but I need a way to either copy them or somehow import them TO iPhoto.

Hello,

Please visit MAC's website which indicates how to access the photos you want to view. This is the website in Castilian:
