Hi, Welcome to Justanswer!
Please I need the model of your washing machine.
Whirlpool AWO D 43115
and it does not appear to have a reset switch
ok, thank you for being patient,
I need an extra information, please could you tell me if the Repair Button is on?
the normal lights are on
Ok, thank you for being patient,
it seems to have a problem with the starter motor or transmission, if you could tell me exactly where you hear the hum I could tell you what might alternatively be the cause.
You can check the motor,
Pull the motor off but leave it connected to the wiring harness. Make sure there is no wire-to-metal contact. Jumper (bypass) the lid switch and pit it in "spin" and see if it runs. Now reverse the leads (better unplug it before you do this) on the pressure switch to make it "think" there's water in it. Select a "wash" setting and see if the motor runs. If it does, the problem is in the gearcase. If not, you either have a bad motor, a bad capacitor, or both. Don't forget to re-switch the pressure switch wires.
I'll take care of you until you can find the cause.
Please, can you tell me exactly where do you hear the hum?,
if you do not know much about electronics, it is only a matter of replacing the part
I'm just making diagnoses according to my knowledge and experience
and what you say about your problem is consistent with what I say.
Here you can find every part of your washing machine, just check out where the hum comes from and then replace that piece.
