Soto90 must be giving good advice as the same was suggested by a high ranking Oracle man - but the file does not not exist, either in my own Vista driven machine, nor in that of my wife - the sick one, Vista again. I wonder, however, that my own machine has a lean ShellNew, whereas that of my wife contains all the icons - mostly Microsoft - that could be back on the desktop, strangely not including Internet

I get the feeling that since I can start many programs from the command line - very inconvenient for my wife - and leave them on the bottom line, with the few program she uses they might be put into startup so she does not lose her way every time there is an update or complte shut-down, but how do I do that?
