Good night,

Russian entry visa can be obtained at local Russian Embassy or Consulate, official letter of invitation issued by the Federal Migration Service or Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required.

To apply for a Russian visa the foreigner needs an invitation-Russian visa support, filled in Application form, passport with the copy of its first page, 2 photos, medicine certificate (if it is multiple-entry visa) and health insurance.

The procedure of issuing the visa divides into 2 stages:
  • the execution of the invitation
  • Getting the visa in the Russian Consulate- the foreigners should do it personally.

There are webs that do the execution of the invitation for you like this:

I do not understand!!! I would be going as a tourist--How can I get an invitation and who could I get it from???
Experto:  DiegoAbogado escribió hace 5 año.

You can get the invitation in this web:

http://inviterussia.com/tur/

The invitation to Rusia is formalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and later the official support for the visa will be sent to you by fax or sent by telex directly to the Consulate.

You can execute the invitation
processed in that web site and then you have to go to Russian Embasy to give this documents for your turist visa:

1. The original passport (a passport valid for at least 6 months after the anticipated end of trip)
2. 2 Forms of Russian visa application completed and signed.
3. 2 recent passport photographs.
4. Individual Travel: Confirmation of hotel reservation authorized tourist company or hotel directly with the reference number and confirmation number given visa.
